Board of Directors

Andrew Martin (51) is a Partner and member of the investment research team at Private Capital Management, LLC (“PCM”).  Mr. Martin joined PCM in 2013 from H.I.G. Capital’s hedge fund unit, where he was a senior research analyst for the firm’s value-oriented long/short equity fund. At H.I.G. Capital, Mr. Martin focused primarily on industrials, business services and special situation investments. Mr. Martin previously was Director of Research at Polen Capital Management, where he helped develop and direct the firm’s research process. Prior to Polen Capital, Mr. Martin worked at Fine Capital Partners, a value focused long/short equity fund and at Sanford C. Bernstein, a leading institutional equity research firm. Earlier in his career, Mr. Martin worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as an investment banker and at the public accounting firm Arthur Andersen, earning a CPA.

Mr. Martin holds an MBA from Columbia Business School. He received his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Business Management from Cornell University.

Ian was elected as a member of the Board of Directors for MiX in June 2016 and as Chairman of the Board in November 2022. Ian also serves as a member of MiX’s Nominations and Remuneration Committee. Ian graduated from Yeshiva University, New York in 1997. He worked as a research analyst focused on small capitalization companies from 1997 to 2002 at Schroders, Sidoti & Co. and Goldman Sachs & Co. respectively. In 2003, after graduating from Columbia Business School, New York, Ian joined Berkshire Hathaway Inc. where he worked on investment research and other projects as directed by the Chairman/CEO. In 2009, Ian left Berkshire Hathaway Inc. to form 402 Capital LLC, a concentrated value focused manager that invests in businesses with structural competitive advantage.

Michael Casey rejoined Powerfleet’s Board of Directors in July 2026 and serves as Chair of the Audit Committee. He previously served as a Powerfleet director from September 2016 until the company’s combination with MiX Telematics.  

Mr. Casey has been a partner at TechCXO, LLC, a professional services firm that provides financial, strategic, and operational consulting to technology businesses, since 2006. He previously served as Chief Financial Officer of MAPICS, Inc., Manhattan Associates, Inc., and IQ Software Corporation. He was also Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Officer of iXL Enterprises, Inc.  

Mr. Casey served on the Board of Directors of Determine, Inc., from 2010 until its April 2019 acquisition, including as Chair of its Audit Committee and as a member of its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. He began his career as a certified public accountant with Arthur Andersen & Co. and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Georgia.

With a proven track record of scaling high value, global technology organizations, Towe joins Powerfleet from Aptos, the global leader of unified commerce solutions in the retail enterprise SaaS market, where he successfully served as President and Chief Operating Officer for the past five years.

In prior positions with both publicly traded and private equity backed companies, Towe has gained more than 16 years of strategic leadership experience on the global SaaS IoT stage. Most notably, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of Masternaut, a global telematics provider, where he was instrumental in delivering robust revenue growth and profit expansion during his tenure from 2011 to 2016.

Previously, Towe achieved significant international organic growth alongside market consolidation as Managing Director of the highly acquisitive telemetry data business Cybit. He also held senior executive level positions for the high velocity, fleet management subsidiary of the Trafficmaster Group, Fleetstar Information Systems.
